Before & After: Mondern House Renovation

The Story
The goal of this renovation was to create more functional space in the house by carefully designing areas in the unfinished first floor entrance and reconfiguring an upstairs wing. The unfinished space became a much needed mudroom with tons of storage, a play room, and we relocated the laundry from a closet upstairs to it’s own room with lots of storage. The upstairs was reconfigured to create a large bathroom with a huge shower and double vanities. A closet room fit for a queen was also created with custom shelving, wallpaper on the ceiling and a modern glam light. In each space we brought in modern lighting, touches of natural wood, and different elements of texture.
The modern home needed some warmth and interest added to some of the other rooms in the house. The Primary bedroom was upgraded with an accent wall of wallpaper and new furnishings and lighting. The hallway was warmed up with artwork and curtains to add another layer of texture and interest. In the foyer we added grasscloth wallpaper, fluted wood panels, and an asymmetric mirror and modern bench to add warmth and texture from the first step into the home. The guest bedroom got a facelift with a warmer wall color and new furnishings and artwork.
